The Picture of Irony
Do you remember when you were in school and the teacher, being oh-so-clever, asked the class to define irony and then smirked as they struggled? Or have you read the absurd dissertation in the appendix to Heart Breaking Work of Staggering Genius on irony? Me neither, the font was way too small. i recently took the bus to baltimore. in the greyhound station terminal giftshop there was a young lady working. she was very obese, looked really dirty, her face was not cute, and she had some asymetrical face piercings going on. she was wearing a t-shirt that said "future trophy wife". i thought it was ironic.
