The Dark Knight is fucking HUGE!

Batman made $155.3 million dollars in it's opening weekend which makes it the biggest opening weekend ever. The previous record was held by Spider Man 3 which opened with $151.1 million.

Batman also broke Spiderman's one day box office record of $59.8 million by making $66.4 million on opening day.

Batman was the number 1 movie this weekend so what was the number 2 movie? Mama Mia was the number 2 movie this weekend. And, if Mama Mia was the number 2 movie it must have had a huge opening as well right? Well, Mama Mia made $27.6 million. $27.6 million! Batman made $127.7 million more than the number 2 movie.

Spankrock/Hard Festival

I knew about this festival and I knew Naeem was going to perform but I didn't think it was for like another month... I was wrong. We hung out Saturday for a bit at the Standard (which is hit or miss, but usually a miss) then I went to check out BKLK(see below), then jumped back in a cab and headed to the hotel, to roll with Naeem's crew to the show. Hung out backstage during the opening acts, then jumped on stage(in the back though), during Naeems set:
Naeem & Amanda, kitted out for the show...

Cesar practicing his moves...

Showtime...

Then during N.E.R.D.'s set I got escorted out of the backstage area because I didnt have a wristband. Naeem & his manager started yelling at security and got me back in though... (Thanks buddy!)
There were allot of people crammed into that trailer...

Afterwards we jumped in the van and rolled to what we thought was an after party, but it was just us hanging at Han Cholo's offices(Which used to be the Crown Royal offices, "Glendale Blvd, Blvd, Glendale Blvd is where I'm at").
(Ah my camera died, I'll post that last pic later.)
Naeem has to deal with allot of crazyness with these shows, and it's pretty wild to see him play to such a big crowd... I had fun though, it's always great to see some friends from home out here...
My camera is a total piece in low light, so for some decent coverage check thearabparrot.com, I'm sure he'll have stuff up soon...

Big Kids Little Kids, L.A.

I took a walk up Sunset to Shep's gallery to check the show...
Unfotunatley I couldn't stay too long, and this was the only picture I got.
