LET ME RIDE

I just returned from a quick trip to Los Angeles to spend some QT with the one and only Velocity B. PUBE$ was out of town, so I was able to stay at his sweet pad for my entire stay, so I would like to give a shout out to that guy, Shaka Brah! Barry had off work for a couple days, so we had plenty of time to bro-down. And best of all, it turns out the weather changed right after I got there. Barry said it's been kinda cold and rainy lately, but the weather was perfect, sunny and 80degrees the whole time I was there. Barry and I caught a Stacy Peralta documentary about big wave surfing called "Riding Giants", and we decided we should become Big Wave Surfers. Were not going to surf this choppy crap in Jersey, and were not going to surf the sweet overheads in Hawaii, we are only doing tow-in surfing of waves over 20ft high. I didn't take a ton of pictures, but I got some good ones.

We hit the streets to see what they were saying....
Down by USC, we found out Snacks has a dealership named after him.

I was people watching as I sat in Barry's car, and in 5 minutes, I some serious characters. (check out the facial expression on the creep at the picnic table)

Barry and I were about to stop the car to pick up that bodacious babe, but that guy beat is to it. We spent the rest of the day arguing about whether it was a guy or a girl.

Barry picked up his new glasses, and we headed to the supermarket to get some chicken to throw on the grill. The glasses have a rounded/convex lens, which must have been hard to get used to, cause they had Barry fucked up, seriously. It was like they dipped his frames in Acid, cause Barry was trippin balls for a couple hours, and I have to admit it was really fun to watch.

This is PUBE$ cat, it's name is HELICOPTER. I am not a Veterinarian, but in my professional opinion, I believe this cat is Bi-Polar.

BONUS PICS!!!!!!!!!!! As I waited for my seat assignment, I spotted this young fella. I haven't seen anyone with a hacky sack since the hippie kooks at West Chester, but this kid was showcasing his skills right at Gate 12 of Terminal 1 at LAX, so I sat back and enjoyed the show.

No need for photoshop, we will have real pics of Barry and I surfing these waves very soon, just like Laird Hamilton (Lance Burkhart for you North Shore fans out there). If Big Wave Surfing is anything like surfing on T&C Surf Designs for Nintendo, this is gonna be a piece of cake, cause I can already ride a 45 second barrel!!!!!!
